What is Reiki Energy?
Reiki energy is an ancient form of Japanese healing that reduces stress and increases relaxation while revitalizing the body, mind, and spirit. In Japanese, the word Reiki is comprised of two individual words: Rei (“higher power”) and Ki (“life force energy”) which, when put together, mean “spiritually-guided life force energy.” Therefore, this energy is not stored in or does not come from any one person, per se; a Reiki practitioner is merely an initiated catalyst for the healing light to pass through in order for it to focus on another being or object. The Reiki healing touch is passed down from master to initiate during what is known as an attunement, keeping the energy pure and strong throughout the lineage.

When you receive Reiki through me, you will be encouraged to notice where blockages come up and, through verbal communication, explore what exactly that blockage is in order to break it up and move forward with healing. I will help you to clearly recognize and feel when a blockage releases and fully experience the shift that occurs and leave with the knowledge of how the block was created in the first place. Reiki is a co-creative process: we will work together to remove any energetic and emotional barriers that may be present, but it is up to you to maintain this new, healthier flow in everyday life to keep the balance after and in between Reiki treatments.
